The Case
4-6 Hotel Street, Leicester (0116 251 7675) The Case is one of Leicester’s classiest
restaurants, with an enticing European inspired menu that is
certain to delight. Appetisers range from oak smoked salmon
with onion rosti and chive sour cream, to grilled king
scallops wrapped in bacon with sako verdi. The lemon &
vodka sorbet acts as the perfect palate cleanser, before
moving onto a main such as roasted Cajun spiced monkfish on
bubble & squeak with a prawn and tomato cream, or warm
goats cheese and Mediterranean vegetable tart with roast
tomato and basil pesto. Expect to pay around £12 per main
course.
Sharmilee

Belgrave Road is Sharmilee, one of Leicester’s favourite
Indian restaurants. Sharmilee is a family run restaurant and
as such you can expect a warm welcome and excellent service.
On the menu you’ll find Southern Indian starter specialities
such as masala dhosa and onion pakoda, followed by a vast
range of vegetable curries at great value for money prices.
They also run a very popular takeaway service for those
preferring to dine at home.
The Tiffin

corner of De Montfort Street and the London Road and is a very
popular Indian restaurant. The old fashioned conservatory
style dining area is comfortable enough but it is the careful
and accomplished cooking that really attracts customers back

all your Indian cuisine favourites and efficient service
completes the appeal.
The Opera House

restaurant set in a smart Grade II listed building. The
excellent modern British cuisine on offer here has won a
couple of well-deserved awards and continue to attract
visitors in their droves, making booking in advance an
essential requirement. The prices aren’t cheap but the
lovely setting combined with great food and a romantic
atmosphere makes it well worth paying a little extra for.

King Street, this branch of the ever-popular chain boasts a
